Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the LocaFact Co., Ltd. websites and MCP (Model Context Protocol) services, including the NearNow connector (mcp.locafact.com/nearnow/mcp) and the EV Charging Finder connector (mcp.locafact.com/ev/mcp).

1. The short version

We do not collect end-user personal information. We do not ask who you are, we do not require an account, and we do not build profiles of people. We only record a hashed client fingerprint for rate limiting and aggregate statistics.

2. What we collect

• Hashed client fingerprint. Each request is reduced to a one-way hash that lets us count distinct clients per day (for example, to measure weekly usage). The hash cannot be reversed to identify you or your device.
• Request metadata. Timestamps, requested tool, response status, and latency. This is service operations data, not personal data.
• Query content is not stored. The places you search for are processed to answer your query and are not retained as a search history tied to any identifier.

3. What we do NOT collect

• No names, emails, phone numbers, or account registrations.
• No precise location tracking: coordinate inputs you type are used to answer the query and are not linked to the fingerprint for profiling.
• No cookies, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers, no analytics beacons.
• No payment data: the service is free and does not take payments.

4. Data sources and attribution

• NearNow: place and opening-hours data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL), attributed in every response, plus business-supplied facts where a merchant has verified them through our claiming process.
• EV Charging Finder: U.S. Department of Energy Alternative Fuels Data Center public data.

5. Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share the hashed fingerprint or request metadata with anyone, except where required by law.

6. Retention

Aggregate, non-identifying counters (for example, daily distinct-client counts) are retained for statistics. Raw request metadata is retained no longer than 90 days.

7. Your choices

Because we collect no personal information, there is nothing to export, correct, or delete. If you prefer not to use the hosted service, you may self-host the open-source code from our public repository.
