Terms of Service

These terms govern use of the LocaFact Co., Ltd. MCP services, including the NearNow connector (mcp.locafact.com/nearnow/mcp) and the EV Charging Finder connector (mcp.locafact.com/ev/mcp), and related websites.

1. The service

LocaFact Co., Ltd. operates read-only, stateless MCP servers that answer questions about public places, opening hours, and EV charging stations using public and business-verified data. The service is free of charge and requires no account.

2. Acceptable use

• Do not use the service for unlawful purposes.
• Do not attempt to track, profile, or re-identify individuals or individual end users through the service.
• Do not overload, probe, or attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls.
• Do not misrepresent data origin: responses carry attribution and confidence labels that must not be removed when you republish answers.

3. Data, accuracy, and attribution

• Place and hours data: © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). Where required, a derived-database offer is available on request.
• EV charging data: U.S. Department of Energy Alternative Fuels Data Center.
• Opening-hours answers carry a confidence level (confirmed / estimated / unknown) and their source. Data may be incomplete or outdated. The service is provided "as is", without warranty of accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Do not rely on it for safety-critical decisions.

4. Availability and changes

The service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time. We aim to announce material changes on our website in advance when practical. Tool schemas may be extended over time; breaking changes to existing tools will be avoided on the production endpoint during any active platform review.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocaFact Co., Ltd. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on the data provided. Total liability for any claim shall not exceed USD 10.

6. Merchant-supplied data

Merchants may claim and verify their own business listings through domain-level verification. By submitting data you confirm you are authorized to act for the business. Knowingly submitting false information about a business you do not own is prohibited and may result in blocking.

7. Open-source software

Our connector code is released under the MIT License (© 2026 LocaFact Co., Ltd.); these terms govern the hosted service, not the licensed code.

8. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of registration, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections. Contact: support@locafact.com.
