Enter your last day and how the job ended. The calculator applies the Delaware deadline, tells you how many days late the payment is, and estimates the possible late-pay penalty. It runs in your browser — nothing is sent to us.
The deadline is the statutory maximum in Delaware: Wages must be paid within 7 days from the close of the pay period in which they were earned (19 Del. C. § 1103). That applies to the final pay period as well. Resignation does not extend the deadline: wages for the final pay period are due within 7 days of its close. The penalty estimate uses Delaware's Department of Labor may impose a civil penalty on the employer, but the statute does not add a liquidated-damages multiple to the employee's claim. The remedy is the wages, plus the department's penalty power.
This is an estimate, not a legal determination. Penalty provisions usually depend on the employer acting wilfully, and a court or agency decides the final number. Use the result to decide whether to send a demand, not as a promise of what you will collect.
