Enter your last day and how the job ended. The calculator applies the Florida deadline, tells you how many days late the payment is, and estimates the possible late-pay penalty. It runs in your browser — nothing is sent to us.
The deadline is the statutory maximum in Florida: Florida has no state law that sets a deadline for the final paycheck. Wages are owed under your employment contract or the employer's established payday, and federal law requires payment for all hours worked — but neither sets a final-pay deadline. Same as a discharge: no state deadline. The practical benchmark is the employer's next regular payday for the pay period you worked. The penalty estimate uses Florida imposes no waiting-time penalty for a late final paycheck. Under Fla. Stat. § 448.08 a worker who has to sue and wins may recover reasonable attorney's fees, which is the main lever the statute gives you.
This is an estimate, not a legal determination. Penalty provisions usually depend on the employer acting wilfully, and a court or agency decides the final number. Use the result to decide whether to send a demand, not as a promise of what you will collect.
