Enter your last day and how the job ended. The calculator applies the Nebraska deadline, tells you how many days late the payment is, and estimates the possible late-pay penalty. It runs in your browser — nothing is sent to us.
The deadline is the statutory maximum in Nebraska: When an employer separates an employee from the payroll, unpaid wages are due on the next regular payday or within two weeks of the termination, whichever is sooner (Neb. Rev. Stat. § 48-1230). Resignation follows the same rule: next regular payday or two weeks, whichever comes first. The penalty estimate uses Nebraska can recover double wages for a wilful failure (§ 48-1232), but the amount recovered is remitted to the state rather than paid to the employee, so it is not money the letter can demand for you.
This is an estimate, not a legal determination. Penalty provisions usually depend on the employer acting wilfully, and a court or agency decides the final number. Use the result to decide whether to send a demand, not as a promise of what you will collect.
