When is my final paycheck due in New Hampshire?

Enter your last day and how the job ended. The calculator applies the New Hampshire deadline, tells you how many days late the payment is, and estimates the possible late-pay penalty. It runs in your browser — nothing is sent to us.

Only matters in states where the deadline is "the next payday".

How this is calculated

The deadline is the statutory maximum in New Hampshire: When an employer discharges an employee, the wages must be paid in full within 72 hours (RSA 275:44, I). When an employee quits or resigns, wages must be paid no later than the next regular payday (RSA 275:44, II). The penalty estimate uses New Hampshire does not add liquidated damages to the employee's claim for a late final paycheck. The remedy is the wages through the Department of Labor or district court.

This is an estimate, not a legal determination. Penalty provisions usually depend on the employer acting wilfully, and a court or agency decides the final number. Use the result to decide whether to send a demand, not as a promise of what you will collect.
