When is my final paycheck due in North Dakota?

Enter your last day and how the job ended. The calculator applies the North Dakota deadline, tells you how many days late the payment is, and estimates the possible late-pay penalty. It runs in your browser — nothing is sent to us.

Only matters in states where the deadline is "the next payday".

How this is calculated

The deadline is the statutory maximum in North Dakota: When an employee is discharged, terminates employment or separates voluntarily, unpaid wages become due and payable at the regular payday (N.D. Cent. Code § 34-14-03). Voluntary separation is expressly covered: wages due at the regular payday. The penalty estimate uses North Dakota does not add liquidated damages to the employee's claim for a late final paycheck; a violation is a misdemeanour and the remedy is the wages through the Department of Labor or small claims court.

This is an estimate, not a legal determination. Penalty provisions usually depend on the employer acting wilfully, and a court or agency decides the final number. Use the result to decide whether to send a demand, not as a promise of what you will collect.
