Enter your last day and how the job ended. The calculator applies the Utah deadline, tells you how many days late the payment is, and estimates the possible late-pay penalty. It runs in your browser — nothing is sent to us.
The deadline is the statutory maximum in Utah: When an employer separates an employee from the payroll, unpaid wages become due and payable on the next regular payday (Utah Code § 34-28-5). On resignation, wages earned become due and payable on the next regular payday. The penalty estimate uses Utah does not provide liquidated damages or a waiting-time penalty for a late final paycheck. The remedy is the wages plus costs through the Labor Commission or small claims court.
This is an estimate, not a legal determination. Penalty provisions usually depend on the employer acting wilfully, and a court or agency decides the final number. Use the result to decide whether to send a demand, not as a promise of what you will collect.
